There are various methods to improve the hardness of
steel chains, and the following three methods are provided:
1.Quenching: Heating the steel chain to a critical temperature (usually between 800-900 degrees Celsius) and then rapidly cooling to room temperature to form a hard and brittle structure.
2.Solution treatment: evenly distribute alloy elements in the steel chain to improve the hardness of the chain. The commonly used solid solution treatment methods include heating to a suitable temperature and holding for a certain period of time, followed by rapid cooling.
3.Cold working: By cold rolling, cold forging, and other methods, the elastic deformation energy generated during the plastic deformation process of steel materials is converted into lattice distortion energy, improving the hardness of the chain.
It should be noted that increasing the hardness of the chain will also alter its physical properties, such as toughness and strength. Therefore, it is necessary to consider comprehensively based on the actual situation.
