What are the key steps in the manufacturing process of hot-dip galvanized wide-mouth welded chain?

By admin / Date Mar 15,2024
The manufacturing process of hot-dip galvanized wide-mouth welded chain involves several critical steps, each of which has a significant impact on the quality and performance of the final product. The following are the main steps of the manufacturing process of hot-dip galvanized wide-mouth welded chain:
Raw material preparation: The first step in manufacturing hot-dip galvanized wide-mouth welded chain is to prepare raw materials. High-quality steel is usually used as the main raw material to ensure that the chain has sufficient strength and corrosion resistance. After the steel has passed quality inspection and material selection, it will be sent to the next step.
Cutting and shaping: The steel is cut into blanks of suitable length by cutting machines, and then shaped into the initial shape of the chain by forming machines or cold bending machines. At this stage, the various links and connecting parts of the chain are formed according to the design requirements.
Welding: Connect the cut and formed parts into a complete chain through a welding process. Wide-mouth welded is a common welding method that uses high temperatures to weld the chain components together to ensure a strong connection.
Cleaning and processing: The finished chain needs to be cleaned and processed to remove surface dirt and grease and prepare it for subsequent galvanizing. Cleaning is usually done using chemical cleaners and water rinses.
Hot-dip galvanizing treatment: The cleaned chain is immersed in heated zinc liquid for hot-dip galvanizing treatment. At high temperatures, the zinc liquid reacts with the chain surface to form a strong zinc-iron alloy protective layer, providing excellent anti-corrosion properties.
Cooling and solidification: The hot-dip galvanized chain needs to be cooled and solidified so that the zinc layer is completely solidified and firmly bonded to the chain surface. This step is usually performed in a cooling chamber or in the air.
Inspection and quality control: The manufactured chain needs to undergo strict inspection and quality control to ensure that it meets the design requirements and relevant standards. The inspection content includes appearance quality, dimensional accuracy, welding quality and galvanized layer thickness.
Packaging and leaving the factory: Qualified chains will be packaged, usually in wooden boxes, pallets or plastic bags, to prevent damage during transportation and storage. Finally, the product will leave the factory and be delivered to the customer or distributor.
The manufacturing process of hot-dip galvanized wide-mouth welded chain includes multiple key steps such as raw material preparation, cutting and shaping, welding, cleaning and processing, hot-dip galvanizing treatment, cooling and solidification, inspection and quality control, and packaging and delivery. By strictly controlling each step, it is possible to ensure the manufacture of high-quality, corrosion-resistant hot-dip galvanized wide-mouth welded chains to meet the needs of different application fields.
