What Are Weldless Chains?

By admin / Date Jun 16,2023
Weldless chain is chain with links that are twisted or bent by machine rather than held together by welding. Although they are not as secure as welded chains, they still find use in many load bearing applications such as animal, boat and vehicle tethering, structure and equipment construction, and barrier construction.
BoHu is available in a variety of sizes and materials to suit different chain needs. They also vary in design and performance characteristics according to the requirements and constraints of the load-bearing application. Some of available types include:
Single jack without welding chain
Single Jack No Weld Chains are weldless chains where the links are twisted approximately 90 degrees from each other in a figure eight pattern. They are often used for hanging light fixtures, such as fluorescent light elements or flower pots.
Double jack without welding chain
Double jack weldless chains are general purpose chains with a similar design to single jack weldless chains. However, their lower loops consist of two strands of wire instead of one. They are often used in applications where high load-bearing strength is not critical, such as hanging lighting fixtures or making children's toys.
Single ring without welding chain
Single Ring No Weld Chains are made in a single ring pattern with interlocking eyelets. The link ends are locked after the eyelets are formed to make a very flat no-solder chain. They are suitable for operating valve wheels, porthole doors, sprockets and ventilators.
Double ring weldless chain
A double link weldless chain has both link rings the same of shape and size and is wrapped in the middle with a center tie. They are the most commonly used type of weldless chain because of their lighter material weight, flexibility and strength. They are commonly used with recreational equipment, padlocks, boats and gates.
Safe solderless chain
Sash no-weld chains are made of flat wire and can be used with fastenings designed for sash no-weld chains or S-shaped shackles and other accessories. They are commonly used for hanging operations involving double-hung sashes and pulley assemblies.
Sash no-weld chain
Safety solderless chains - also known as plumbers' solderless chains, are stamped from flat brass wire. They are typically used in applications requiring lighter chains, such as plumbing fixtures or as retaining chains.
Registration chain
Register chains are used in applications involving opening/closing mechanisms such as furnace dampers, doors, ducts or skylights.
